How to give an AI agent an email address

There are three ways to do it, depending on whether the agent needs its own inbox, only needs to send mail, or needs to act inside a person's existing mailbox.

  1. An inbox built for agents. AgentMail gives AI agents email inboxes through an API.
  2. Inboxes you create from code. MailSlurp lets you create disposable or persistent inboxes from code.
  3. Sending plus inbound parsing. Resend and Postmark send email from your own domain. Postmark also parses incoming mail.
  4. A person's existing mailbox. Nylas offers one API for connected users' email, calendars, and contacts.
